Two-Panel Corner Configuration with Butted-Glass Mitered Corner
The most common AGG corner enclosure is a two-panel configuration — two fixed tempered-glass panels meeting at a 90° butted-glass corner, with the swing door hinged off one panel or the adjacent wall. Where the pocket is wider, a three-panel variant (door + inline panel + return panel) opens up the entry. Standard glass spec is 3/8" tempered safety glass, up to four times stronger than annealed; 1/2" heavy glass is available for larger spans or designer-spec'd luxury baths (Heavy Glass with Inline Panel →).
The butted-glass corner is the visual signature: the two panels meet glass-to-glass at 90° with a sleeve-over-90 clamp or clean miter — no vertical aluminum corner post breaking the line. Mounting is structural — wall-anchored hinge clips on the hinge-side panel, U-channel along the floor and tops of the fixed panels, with solid blocking behind the tile on the hinge-side wall because the door's full weight loads through that panel. Our residential default is CRL (C.R. Laurence) sleeve-over-90 corner clamps and pivot hinges, corrosion-resistant for the Grand Strand's humidity and salt air.
